3) When the pH of 0.10M HClO2 was measured, it was found to be 1.2. What are the values of Ka and pKa of chlorous acid?
So far, I have found the concentration of H+ by setting up 10^-1.2 and I got [H+] = 0.0631. I then tried solving for Ka using (0.0631)^2/(0.1-0.0631) and got Ka = 0.11. However, the answer key says 0.09. I am having trouble seeing how I got a different value...
Thanks in advance!

I also got 0.11 for the Ka value, I think that it might be a typo in the solutions.

I got the same answer as you, Meagan. It's probably a typo. Also, I believe the answers for part b are also typos because I got completely different answers for those too. Hope this helps!

Hey I got the same answer I was so stuck! Sometimes the book has errors. I think ill ask a ta about it soon to double check.
