Hi,

I was wondering how we would solve this question without calculations (as I believe that's how it's intended), and any tips about how to go about these problems.

I think this problem requires calculations because you would need to convert them all to pH. Since not all of the solutions are acidic, you would have to find their kb value in the table in the book and use that to find Ka and then use the Ka to find pH. Alternatively, for bases, you could use Kb to find pOH and subtract that from 14 to get pH.
