Second Deprotonation

Postby Aarushi Anil 1C » Mon Jan 29, 2024 4:29 pm

When are we supposed to ignore second deprotonation when solving problems using polyprotic acids and bases?

You should ignore the second deprotonation for polyprotic acids unless it is sulfuric acid which is a strong acid and its conjugate is a weak acid
