What are some examples of polyprotic acids and bases?

Some examples of polyprotic acids include H2SO4, H3PO4, and H2CO3. After these acids lose one hydrogen, they can either continue to deprotonate or they can act as a base. In this way, they are amphiteric. Also, it is important to know that in polyprotic acids, successive deprotonations happen less frequently as seen by the lower Ka's. Hope this helps!

Conversely, the conjugate bases of those acids once they donate all of their protons (SO4 2-, CO3 2-) are polyprotic bases.
