Determining Acids or Bases (Number based)
For most of the Sapling homework, we had to identify whether the numbers or compounds given were acids or bases.R Regarding the numbers, is there a rule that we can abide to when we determine whether it is acidic or basic? Or is the easiest way is by using the formulas of H+ and OH-?

Below a pH of 7 is acidic, and above it is basic. I find using the pKa to find pH to be the easiest way to figure out if something is acidic or basic for sure.

Hello, in order to be certain if something is acidic or basic we know that anything below a pH of 7 is acidic, a pH of 7 is neutral, and anything below a pH of 7 is acidic. To be even more certain, you could determine the value of the pKa to find the strength of an acid, and in turn determine the pH.

is there a good YouTube video for finding out the ones we are supposed to know?
