Acids

What does "protonated form" mean? He mentioned that in the lecture but I'm still kind of confused on what that means in terms of the acid?

Protonated means that it had a proton transferred to it. Therefore, the "protonated form" would be the form of the acid that has accepted a proton.

Pronated form is the opposite of ionized where ionized is the anion, so pronated means form with the hydrogen or the cation. In the example in lecture, HA is the pronated form while A- is the ionized form.

The protonated form means that a proton has been added to the substance, or a proton has been accepted.
