conjugate acid of a strong base and a conjugate base of a strong acid
If as salt has the conjugate acid of a strong base and a conjugate base of a strong acid will it be neutral or amphoteric?
Re: conjugate acid of a strong base and a conjugate base of a strong acid
If a salt is derived from a strong acid and a strong base, it will not ionize in an aqueous solution. This means that the pH doesn't change (it stays at 7), and the salt is neutral.

It will be neutral. Since both the conjugate acid and base present in water as spectator ions, they won’t affect the pH.

It will stay neutral. A good rule of thumb is that if it is a conjugate base of a strong acid or a conjugate acid of a strong base, the salt will be unable to disassociate as strong bases/acids irreversibly dissociate 100%. As such it will stay neutral.

It will neutralize and the pH will remain neutral as well (7).

If a salt has the conjugate acid of a strong base and a conjugate base of a strong acid it will be neutral.
