calculating pH

Postby Gisela F Ramirez 2H » Sat Dec 08, 2018 9:24 pm

At Lyndon's review session this friday, I'm not sure if I heard right but we will be asked to find the pH of strong acids, on the final, only right?

That's right. When calculating pH, it will only be dealing with strong acids and/or strong bases. However, weak acids and bases will be on the final but we will only be ranking their relative strengths.

You'll be able to find them since strong acids and bases completely dissociate.

We will only have to calculate the pH for strong acids and bases.

For strong acids and bases, we will have to calculate the pH. However, for weak acids and bases, we will have to compare which would be relatively stronger or weaker.
