Rundown of Topic

Does someone mind explaining what the key takeaways are regarding this topic? What is critical for me to know regarding acid rain?

The main take away from this topic is that sulfur based compounds, such as sulfur dioxide, react with water vapor in the air to form acid rain. This rain is harmful to humans and a major air pollutant.

To add on, I think a main takeaway is that while rain is naturally acidic (pH around 6), compounds like sulfuric acid and nitric acid produced by fossil fuels/cars cause a significant drop in pH due to the reaction of these acids with water vapor (as low as pH 3). This is 1000x more acidic and a huge problem for things like plant life.
