You might also want to know about buffering in blood - this Khan Academy article explains it well, if you scroll down to "Buffering System of Blood".

this refers to acid rain. also remember that CO2 is a product of A LOT of other biological and inorganic processes, like decomposition and pollution from combustion engines in cars, etc.
Among othrs you might want to know the acid reaction present in digestion and those that occur in filtration of fluids in the body. But these you shouldn't be concerned about as he is probably not going to test your biological knowledge as much as he is your chemical.
