Options to Reduce Acid Rain

Postby Hiba Alnajjar_2C » Tue Dec 03, 2019 6:20 pm

Could someone expand upon potential options for the reduction of acid rain & explain the reasoning behind those solutions? Much appreciated!

Potential options to reduce acid rain are the following--> reducing the use of fossil fuels (i.e. burning of coal), using renewable energy sources, coal burning plants, etc. Keep in mind that acid rain can be neutralized if it reacts with something that is more alkaline (closer to the very basic side of the pH scale) such as limestone.

Additionally, has anyone been able to find the acid rain problems in the textbook?

Someone on another post said H.13, Focus 3 3.69, Example 5G.2, Box 6E.1 all mention acid rain/have practice problems for acid rain.
