can only water be used as solvent in aqueous solution?

We don't take the concentration of water into consideration while calculating the aqueous equilibria of a reaction. Can anything else other than water also be used here as the solvent?

While other compounds can act as solvents, water is the most common and most likely the only one we'll have to work with, so I wouldn't worry about other solvents!

In class, it was mentioned that although other compounds can act as solvents, water is the most common and typically the only one we will be using for our purposes. Water is essential for the acid-base reactions we have been doing so I wouldn't worry about any other solvents.

Other compounds can act as solvents but for the sake of the scope of this course, water is the most common and abundant solvent.

No other compounds can also be solvents, but water is just the most common!

Hi, Lavelle mentioned that other compounds can be solvents but just for this course we will be using water.
