14A Course Reader Final 2014 Q7

Postby Sanjay_Kumar_2J » Sun Dec 04, 2016 11:55 pm

For question number 7 in the 2014 Final in the course reader, why would the molarity of CH3CO2- be 0.10M? and why would the stoichiometric point the volume of solution have doubled?

The acid and the base have identical concentrations. Therefore the volume at the stoichiometric point will be double (equal volume acid and base) which halves the concentration of the acid and base, and hence the salt is 0.1M.
