Initial Concentrations

Postby elizabethrojas1G » Fri Dec 04, 2015 4:52 pm

When given a problem, how do you know when you have concentrations >0 in the reactants and products as opposed to only having a concentration >0 in the reactants and 0 in the products?

You must take note of any information the question provides. For example, if you are given a source of conjugate base in a weak acid problem, you must include that conjugate base in the initial concentrations on the product side.
