Which indicator?

If the predicted pH range is included within the range of multiple indicators, how do we decide which indicator to use?

If you're talking about the paper indicators, the strips you use to test pH, then?? Or do you mean stuff like soil, flower petals, leaves??
If you're talking about indicators as weak acids, I would imagine that using an indicator that falls in the middle of the range would work... or for a more effective experiment, you could use all of the multiple indicators to narrow down the pH.

I would say that an indicator with a smaller range that includes the predicted pH would be the best to use. I assume that because the range is more narrow, it would be easier to find if the predicted pH really does fall into that range. Like Gwendolyn said, though, it would also be good to run the experiment with multiple indicators to verify your results.
