### 8.45 part C

What equation is part C using to find delta H? And is delta H referring to the reaction enthalpy?

I used a ratio so I set up 358.8kj/4 molCS2 = 415kj/x moles and then I solved for x.

I think that the ΔH they give you in the question is reaction enthalpy, because absorbing energy would be endothermic, and that is a property that refers to the entire reaction. As far as how you solve it, you want to end up with grams. First, you need to find the number of mol. You need both values of ΔH because the 358.8 is for the whole reaction and technically per 4 mol CS2, and the 415 is for an unknown amount. So you know that 415= (358.8kJ/4mol)(X) will give you X mol CS2 that is produced. Once you find this number, you convert to grams to get the total grams CS2 produced. Hope this helps!
