Enthalpy

Why is enthalpy only a state property? Why does the path towards that state not matter?

Enthalpy only depends on the initial and final values of heat in a reaction, not the path it takes to get to the current state.

Enthalpy is a state property because the "path" taken to get from the initial to final value is not important.

Enthalpy is a state function because it only depends on initial and final values in the reaction. The path taken to get from the initial to final value does not matter.

It is because Enthalpy only depends on initial and final values which make the reaction a state function.

Enthalpy is a state function because it only depends on initial and final values in the rxn; thus, the path doesn't matter.
