Will the specific heat capacity be given on tests or will have to memorize some of them ? like water

Heat capacity is amount of heat to be supplied to produce a unit change in its temperature. For common species such as water, it's better to be know the value, which is 4.184 Joules.

Heat capacities will be given, especially for water, but the more problems you do, the more you will get used to the numbers and you can automatically memorize them.
