Bond Breakage/NRG Stability

Postby 605110118 » Tue Jan 28, 2020 9:40 am

How is it that when bonds are broken and NRG is released, a compound is more stable?

I believe that it depends on what the most stable for of that element is, for example N2 is more stable than N by itself.
