These terms are used interchangeably I believe.

Vapors tend to consist of a mixture of 2 or more different phases at room temperature (liquid and gas), and gases contain one thermodynamic state at room temperature. I would treat them as equivalent for this class though

Vapour is a mixture of two or more different phases at room temperature, these phases are liquid and gaseous phase. Gas usually contains a single thermodynamic state at room temperature. Vapour has a definite shape of the gaseous particles when observed under a microscope.

They are synonymous. Vapor usually implies that it used to be a liquid and now it turned into a gas via vaporization (:

Yes, a vapor and a gas are the same for our class.

They are basically the same thing but vapor is the chemical way of saying something is in gas phase

Vapour is a mixture of two or more different phases at room temperature, these phases are liquid and gaseous phase. Gas usually contains a single thermodynamic state at room temperature. Vapour has a collection of particles without any definite shape when observed under a microscope

However, for these problems it is safe to say they are the same thing.

I am sure that vapor and gas mean the same thing but is used in the class interchangeably.

They are the same thing! usually people will use vapor if referring to a solid that was just turned into a gas but there is really no difference

I'm pretty sure vapor and gas are the same! Like when something vaporizes, it just goes from the liquid to the gas phase.

This is just two ways of saying the same thing, as they are both in the gaseous phase!

Not really! They are in the same phase so they are essentially the same!

Yes I believe vapor just means gas, they are interchangable. Vaporization means the change of liquid to gas so it is safe to assume vapor is gas.
