is there a term for values like work and heat that are not state properties?

I believe the term for the opposite of a state property or a scenario where the values depend on the path taken between the initial and final point is a path function. I hope this helps!

Hi! Yes, to verify the previous poster's response, path functions are the opposite of state functions since they depend on the path taken. State functions do not depend on the path taken to reach the specific value.

I believe that there isn't a term for it rather a definition. It is just a path function, the professor talks about this briefly in the same lecture he talks about state properties and he explains it in that path functions represent properties like heat and work which require to find the path it took to find a certain value.
