Homework

Postby 904638389 » Mon Jan 11, 2016 12:44 am

In my discussion (with TA Dimitri) we began talking about reversible and irreversible reactions and then in lecture it seems we have not gotten there yet. I was going to fill this gap with reading the book but it seems like we started in the middle of the chapter. What sections or parts of chapter 8 are we supposed to read? And what part did Lavelle start in?

Professor Lavelle usually bullet points the name of the topic the he is discussing at the top of the page. If that doesn't help, You can find the topics related to his lectures by taking important key words from the course reader lecture and finding the page number where they discuss such topics in the index.

This is what I've read so far in the textbook based off of what we've covered in lecture: 8.8 - 8.12 (Heat Transfers... Heating Curves) & 8.13 - 8.17, 8.19. We were told to omit 8.18 & 8.20. Then just page through the homework accordingly. Do the assigned problems from Enthalpy, Hess's Law, Standard Enthalpies of Formation, Bond Enthalpies, and there are some Integrated Exercises that you can do as well.

Note: I am unsure about whether or not we can do the Reaction Enthalpies section in HW ATM.
