Hi! According to the textbook, the enthalpy of vaporization is jus the enthalpy change per mole accompanying the phase change from liquid to gas. So, delta(H) of vaporization is Hm(vapor)-Hm(liquid); this value should be positive, as it is an endothermic reaction.

Enthalpy of vaporization is the amount of heat/energy which needs to be put into a system in order to break all of the intermolecular forces to turn all of the liquid into gas. On a phase change diagram, it will be a straight line between the liquid and gas states. It is always a positive delta H. I hope this helps and please let me know if there are any errors.
