Delta H vs. q

Postby Rohan Singhal 2D » Tue Jan 19, 2016 1:02 pm

What is the main difference between enthalpy and q. I thought they were the same, but I know that enthalpy is a state function, while q isn't. So what is the difference between them?

H is enthalpy and q is heat. But enthalpy, H, equals qP, or heat of the system when pressure is constant.
