Problem 8.111

Postby JukaKim_1D » Thu Feb 04, 2016 9:53 pm

Why does the reactor need to be cooled to maintain a constant temperature when the reaction is exothermic? Shouldn't the reactor be heated because heat is leaving the system?

The heat produced by the highly exothermic reaction is transferring to the reactor, so the reactor must be cooled if we want to maintain its temperature.
