Midterm Question #5

Could someone explain why the answer to this question was ? I thought they would be equal, but I wasn't sure how to reason the answer for this question. Thanks!

Hi! For this question, work would be negative so H would have to be greater than U since there is stuff being subtracted from it due to the work. Hope this helps!
