I understand how to do this problem, but I'm not sure where the molar heat capacity of a monatomic ideal gas came from (5/2R and 3/2R). Is there a table for this somewhere?

There is a table with those values on page 281 in the textbook!

The values 3/2R and 5/2R are also listed in the Constants and Formulas page on page 125 of the course reader.
