Units of Pressure

Postby Sophia Bozone 2G » Mon Jan 15, 2018 1:38 pm

What are all the units of pressure and their conversions? Which unit is not commonly used? Will need to memorize these?
Thanks

We usually use atm and standardized all the values to this as all the constants we have for R have atm. 760 torr =1 atm, 1 atm = 1.01325 bar, and 1 atm =101325 pascals.

In 14A the conversions were on the constants sheet given to us on tests, though I can't say whether we'll have to memorize them for this class.

Also, Dr. Lavelle noted that for our calculations we can kind of equate atm and bar since they are so similar in value.
