Will we need to calculate the kJN when working with Hess's law? Or will it always be given?

If you are given the enthalpies of 2 separate reactions, you may be asked to use these values to find the net enthalpy change of the overall reaction.

You can add the reaction equations together along with their values of enthalpy

you will be given the enthalpy with the initial rxns but just keep in mind you will also need to use that to find the final reaction enthalpy.
