Bond Enthalpies

Will the structures be given to us on the midterm or are we expected to know how to draw them?

You may be expected to draw simpler structures like C-C bonds or C-H bonds

You could draw a simple Lewis structure, but most of the time the structure is given or is relatively easy to figure out so that you may focus strictly on adding and subtracting the bond enthalpies.

If you know the lewis structures, it would be very helpful since you would know what bonds are breaking/forming.

It's a good idea to learn to draw basic Lewis structures for these types of problems. The structures for these problems are generally pretty basic, but having the image available to you can make adding and subtracting bonds much easier, even if it is rather simplistic. You don't really need to know VSEPR for these types of problems, but instead you should focus on just being able to draw the Lewis structures associated with the given molecules.
