If you ever get pressure given int he units of "bar", you can just assume that its a 1:1 ratio with "atm". The conversion factor is very close to one, so Lavelle said we can treat bar as equal to atm.

Any combination of units work AS LONG AS they are related by the correct units in gas constant R. Conversely, to use R you either have to convert given values' units so they work for R or convert R into a different form of itself with the right units.

Pressure has a variety of units. Because of this, I double check the units of all the givens so I know which pressure unit to use when solving a problem.
