### Units for Reaction Enthalpy

In the textbook solutions, for some answers $\Delta H^{o}$ has the units of kJ and for other answers it has the units of kJ/mol. Are kJ and kJ/mol interchangeable as the units for the standard reaction enthalpy?

### Re: Units for Reaction Enthalpy

I believe the standard reaction enthalpy should always be in kJ/mol. If it is just the enthalpy value, it is in kJ.

Return to “Reaction Enthalpies (e.g., Using Hess’s Law, Bond Enthalpies, Standard Enthalpies of Formation)”
