Do higher bond enthalpies indicate higher stability?

I believe that when the bond enthalpy is higher, the bond is stronger.

The bond enthalpy is the amount of energy needed to break the bond. So the tiger the bond enthalpy the more energy needed meaning more stable.

Bond enthalpy denotes the amount of energy necessary to break or form a given bond. Thus the higher the bond enthalpy the tighter the bond.
