endothermic reaction

say we have reaction A+B -> C + D and delta H is positive. Does that mean you add heat to the left or right side of the reaction?

If you add heat to this reaction, the concentration of products will increase since it is an endothermic reaction. I don't think you can add heat to a specific side.

If a reaction is endothermic, you can treat heat as a reactant, but you wouldn't actually write it out.

If deltaH is a positive value, the reaction is endothermic so heat is consumed in the reaction. In order for it to be consumed it would have to be in the reactants side but you wouldn't normally write it into the equation as a reactant, you just think of it as a reactant so that you can use Le Chatlier's principle to see it's affect on equilibrium.

If delta H is positive that means that heat is absorbed in the reaction. The heat is on the left with the reactants.

if you mean the part of the reaction (reactants or products) in which heat would be written;

with reactants if delta H is + (meaning reaction is endothermic, thus absorbing heat)
with products if delta H is - (meaning reaction is exothermic, thus releasing heat)
