Cp,m

Okay, I realize this is a very dumb and simple question but I seriously do not understand what the "m" stands for in things such as Cp,m and Cv,m.

m is the molar heat capacity, or the heat needed to raise the temperature of 1 mole of substance by 1 degree Celsius. Cp,m means molar heat capacity at constant pressure. Cv,m means molar heat capacity at constant volume.

I think the "m" stands for melting or fusion, so Cp,m is the molar heat capacity of a substance that is changing states, specifically going from a solid to a liquid.
