Calorimeters

Is it true that a calorimeter can never change volume?

There are two types of calorimeters. Constant Volume and Constant Pressure. Constant volume is in the name, while Constant Pressure Calorimeters have some change in volume, but it is so small that is considered insignificant/negligible.

Calorimeters used for constant pressure measurements allow for volume changes to maintain constant pressure during the reaction. This design of the calorimeter ensures that the volume remains constant throughout the experiment, with this, no work can be done on the system so internal energy is only dependent on the enthalpy. Calorimeters designed for constant volume measurements, such as bomb calorimeters do not allow the volume to change during the reaction.
