Question on Units of Temperature
Hello I notice when doing problems with temperature change that the units of C and K are constantly interchange without conversions. I was wondering how is that possible without affecting the answers?

Re: Question on Units of Temperature
When there is a temperature change of 1 degree Celsius, there's also a temperature change of 1 degree Kelvin (and vice versa). This means they're interchangeable (one-to-one conversion).

Re: Question on Units of Temperature
Mathematically, to convert from Celsius to Kelvin, you add 273.15. When you subtract two numbers that both have 273.15 added to them, they effectively cancel out, leaving you with just the final temperature minus the initial temperature but with the units now in Kelvin. Hope that helped a bit!

Re: Question on Units of Temperature
you can use K and C interchangeably because a 1° change in Celsius is equal to 1° change in kelvin

Re: Question on Units of Temperature
Can you write all of the answers on quizzes/midterms in Kelvin?
