In homework question 8.103 they ask for the molar kinetic energy in joules/mole of Krypton gas at two temperatures with a deltaT of 1 degree celsius and using the answers I'm supposed to find the specific heat capacity. My TA covered this concept a little bit in discussion today, but I was wondering if anyone could go a bit more in-depth so I can have a better grasp?

The answer is 12.5 J/mol. You may have a more outdated version of the solution manual or something if it says kJ/mol.
