Heat "flow"

The textbook remarks that it is incorrect to say that heat "flows." Why is this incorrect/ what is the reasoning behind this statement?

This implies the idea that heat is a tangible item opposed to an amount of energy (that seems most logical). But usually that is more of a reference to change in temperature, which we differentiate in chemistry
