For 8.103, it asks us to find the molar kinetic energy of Kr. However, I looked at the equation sheet on Dr. Lavelle's website and it does not give this formula. Does this mean that we don't need to know this equation?

I think we should know how to use it if it comes up just to be safe, but I don't believe that we will have to memorize it. I checked the outline on his website as well, and the equation (3/2)RT is not on there either.

I just came to ask about this question-- does anyone know how we derive this formula? I was looking at the equations we are given, and I couldn't make sense of how molar kinetic energy is equal to 3/2RT. Thanks in advance!
