Surface area and heat capacity

Wouldn’t it be easier for a solid to heat up if the surface area is larger? I keep thinking about baking. It’s easier to bake the bread if the mold is less deep and the surface area is increased given the same amount of dough

For heat capacities, we are not really talking about surface area. If you have one bread, it will take a shorter amount of energy to heat up than 2 breads. Thus, having more of one object will require more energy to heat up.

I think a large surface area allows a quicker rise in temperature instead of a larger one. Which means the magnitude of the increase in temperature would still be the same when two objects of different surface areas are given the same amount of thermal energy.
