6th ed 103 units

The following is problem 103 from the 6th edition textbook:
Calculate the molar kinetic energy (in joules per mole)
of Kr(g) at (a) 55.85 C and (b) 54.85 C. (c) The difference
between the answers to parts (a) and (b) is the energy per mole
that it takes to raise the temperature of Kr(g) by 1.00 C. The
quantity is known as the molar heat capacity. What is its value?

After using Ek= 3/2 RT to calculate the answers to part a and b, I got answers with the units J/mol.
Additionally, I understand that to calculate the answer to part c, you need to find the difference between the answers from a and b. The answer I got was in J/mol again, but the answer in the back of the book was the same number with the units KJ/mol. Can somebody maybe explain where the transition from J to KJ came from? I am mainly confused because I had the same numerical value just different units.

in the solution manual, it shows the answers in Joules/moles
