do you have to convert to kelvin for the q=mcdeltat equation?

I think it depends on the units of the elements. Usually, the temperature is given in degrees Celsius and so is the specific heat or heat capacity. So you do not have to convert it to kelvin.

It depends on the units. If the temperature is given in Celsius which it usually is you don't have to.

its delta T so no you don't if the temperature is given in Celcius. Of course, you will have to convert to either C or K if it is in F. But the scale of C and K are the same making the delta T the same.

It depends on what the problem gives you. Just make sure for any given problem that you use the units that match the constant you're given.
