Re: Celcius and Kelvin
I'm not sure if you'd have to memorize it but it's fairly simple and easy to remember. To convert from Celsius to Kelvin, add 273. Likewise, to convert from Kelvin to Celsius, subtract by 273.

Re: Celcius and Kelvin
I believe that the conversion between celcius and kelvin is listed on the constants and equations page which Lavelle provides during tests.

I think the conversion from celsius to kelvin is 0 C= 273.15 K, and remembering this is easy but I am also pretty sure it will be provided on the equation sheet on the exam.

Re: Celcius and Kelvin
We needed to know the conversion from celcius to kelvin on the last test, so I assume that on the midterm and other tests we will need to have it memorized as well. However, I do not believe we need to use the exact conversion value of 273.15, but rather we are bale to use 273.

I think it was on the equation sheet? To convert from Celsius to Kelvin, just add 273.

Re: Celcius and Kelvin
I believe it son the equation sheet, and if not, it's pretty easy. K=273.15 +C

Re: Celcius and Kelvin
The TA I think said something about when we are dealing with delta T we can use Kelvin and Celcius.

I don't think we have to memorize it, but it would be convenient to memorize it! Also watch out for your units and use either K or C based on the units you want to cancel out.

Re: Celcius and Kelvin
The equation for the conversion is given to us, but when using anything with delta T, the difference in temp will be the same if you use K or C, so it doesn't really matter
