Bomb Calorimeters

Postby AKhanna_3H » Tue Feb 04, 2020 9:52 pm

What exactly do we need to know about bomb calorimeters? Is there a specific formula/concept that corresponds to using a bomb calorimeter?

I think all we need to know about bomb calorimeters is that they have constant volume. Whenever a problem says a reaction takes place in a bomb calorimeter, you can assume that there is no work since there is no change in volume. Hope this helps!

I would looks at the parts of the bomb calorimeter in the notes and study how the parts work together (and the purpose that each part serves$
