Yes, I believe you would use this equation for calorimetry problems. Can someone explain to me why you don't use mass?

The heat capacity for the calorimeter takes the mass and everything else into account already.

Yes you wouldn't need to include mass of moles if they're asking for the heat energy of the calorimeter or the heat capacity of the calorimeter.
