Heat capacity

Postby Tianna Nguyen 1I » Sun Jan 23, 2022 3:16 am

Hi, in the textbook problem 4C.15, why is the answer C and not B? Is the general rule the lower the heat capacity, the steeper of the slope of the graph?

Looking at the graphs, the lower the heat capacity the slope will be steeper because it takes less energy (x axis) to increase the temperature (y axis). In contrast, the higher the heat capacity, the slope will be less steep because it takes more energy to increase the temperature.
