State Properties and Extensive/Intensive Properties

Postby Chelsea Culi 3F » Mon Jan 24, 2022 7:11 pm

For the midterm, do we have to know what is considered a state property or an extensive/intensive property?

I believe so, since Dr. Lavelle spent some time in week 3's Wednesday's lecture on such topic. State property basically means the calculation is not dependent on the paths/steps it takes, so work and heat are not state properties.
