Will the content from Monday or Wednesday's lecture week 4 be on the midterm or does it just go up to Friday's lecture of week 3 because I have heard opposing things.

All midterm 1 materials are covered in the first 3 weeks. The materials from 10/18 and 10/20 won't be on the midterm of 10/22.

No, the midterm won't cover material from this week's lectures.

From Lavelle's email that he sent today:
"Midterm 1 covers all material to the end of 1E (electron configurations of neutral atoms) in the textbook. We finished all midterm 1 material Friday of Week 3."

During our class on Friday, Professor Lavelle said that the material up until and including electron configuration would be all that the Midterm covered. Week 4 material is not included.

I had the same doubt as yourself, since I had also heard some people say that some Midterm material was to be covered in Week 4, but Professor Lavelle's email confirmed that the Midterm will only contain content up to Week 3.

As classmates have already stated, Midterm will cover up to week 3 content! If you need a reference, check your email as the Professor sent out an email confirming this and you can also go back to the recordings on CCLE if you want to rewatch a lecture. I hope this helps and also remember to download and do the pretest with the 5 pt question for respondus!

Based on an email that Professor Lavelle just sent out, the only material that will be covered on midterm 1 will be the lectures up till Friday of week 3.

I think that week 4 will be on the second midterm. But I am not sure if it will include weeks 4-6 or weeks 4-7.
