Re: Rundown on SI Units and Unit conversions
The SI base units are meter for length, kilogram for mass, second for time, ampere for current, kelvin for temperature, mole for amount, and candela for luminous intensity.
Pico- 10 ^-12
Nano- 10^-19
Micro- 10^-6
Milli- 10^-3
Centi- 10^-2
Deci- 10^-1
Deka- 10^1
Hecto- 10^2
Kilo- 10^3
Mega- 10^6
Giga- 10^9
Tera- 10^12
Putting prefixes before the SI unit gives that multiple of the unit, and the base units can be combined to derive other units. For example, the unit of force is the Newton, which is a kg*m/s^2.

Re: Rundown on SI Units and Unit conversions
You can remember them because for most of them the exponent increases or decreases by three between prefixes.
